The tessellation book recommends mulberry paper, which apparently is very tough and holds a crease well. Today I put on two coats of clear acrylic as a final finish (Figure 1). They came out pretty well. Which explains why it did not turn out very good. After that, smooth accurate cuts proved impossible (or at least very unlikely-see Figure 3). I have always wanted to build a foam cutter , and that is what it would take to cut a foam plastic sponge into cubes.

There’s also an old PlayStation game called Aquanaut’s Holiday that includes the Dunk. It in fact is so common today to find Google’s quintessential text ad links on almost every site you visit. Baird writes with obvious technical expertise, but clearly enough for the interested nonscientist to follow, so this book will hopefully spread the knowledge of Hawai’ian cetaceans to a broad audience.sci tech
